On Thursday August 24, The American Post Legion Adjutant Brad Moomey and past Post Commander Don Sheldon visited Alyssa Dye's and Wanda Morrison's third and fourth grade classes at Evangelical Lutheran School.
The Legionnaires held a flag-folding ceremony for the children and demonstrated the proper way to fold the U.S flag, and they symbol that each fold represents.
There are symbols are as follows and they range from honor and remembrance to fallen veterans, eternal life and life on Earth, tribute to Mother's and Father's and more.
After the demonstration, students were given the opportunity to take their turn at folding the flag.
