Judy Kay Connell (Dawkins), age 74 of Scottsbluff Nebraska, passed away on August 11th, 2022. Services will be held at a later date. Judy was born September 16, 1947 in Rushville NE to William T. and Mildred (Masek) Dawkins. Judy grew up in Chadron Nebraska, and graduated high School from there in 1966.
She met her husband, Robert “Bob” Connell of Whitney Nebraska, and they were married May 26th, 1968 in Chadron. They moved to Sidney NE, and eventually moved to Scottsbluff NE, after Bob graduated from WNCC. They started an auto body business (Dent Tech) from 1986-2004.
The couple had two children Jill Lynn, and Michael Wayne. Judy was active in league bowling and she and Bob both had teams that their business sponsored. In her final years, she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, and her family.
Judy had one brother (Bill III) Dawkins and 2 nephews. She also had many aunts and uncles and cousins that she was very close to from childhood to adulthood.
Judy is survived by her daughter, Jill Connell of Fort Collins CO, son Michael (Jaimie) Connell and three grandchildren, Jacob, Drake, and Gage all of Scottsbluff NE, brother Bill III Dawkins of Chadron NE, and his two children and grandchildren, mother, Mildred Dawkins of Chadron NE and brother and sister in-law Bill(Joyce) Connell of Platte Center, NE, and their six children and many grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Robert “Bob” Connell, an infant son, father and mother in-law Clarence and Mary Connell, and her father William T Dawkins II. She will be terribly missed by her family and friends.
