One person was transported to an Alliance hospital following an accident on Highway 2, east of Alliance.
On Sunday, April 16 at 5:15 p.m. a semi-truck-trailer was making a deliver to Perrin Manufacturing. Box Butte County Deputy J.D. Sutphen said they pulled out of the business heading westbound. A Dodge Ram pickup slowed behind the semi-truck-trailer, then a Chevrolet Cavalier rear-ended the pickup.
The Cavalier ended up in the north ditch of the highway. Sutphen said the semi-truck-trailer was not involved in the accident.
Sutphen said the minor driver of the Cavalier was transported to Box Butte General Hospital.
Highway 2 was not shut down during this accident.
Alcohol and drugs were not involved.
