James Lee Heap passed into the spirit world on July 12, 2020 in Danville, Illinois. He was 51 years old. Jim was born on August 27, 1968 at Central City, NE to David Lee and Margaret Ann (Schmidt) Heap. He grew up in Alliance, NE and attended school there. He traveled extensively throughout the United States and lived in California, Florida and Illinois. James is survived by his son, Derek (Tirah Cox) WarBonnet, granddaughter, Natily, and grandson, Tyler, all of Alliance. He is also survived by his brother, Alan Heap of Lincoln, Uncle Duane (Joan) Schmidt of Alliance, and cousins, Jolene Schmidt of Lincoln, and Carol (Tony) Dubray of Alliance. He was preceded in death by his mother, Margaret, his sister, Ann Marie, and his maternal grandparents, Duane Schmidt Sr. and Bonnie Schmidt.
Graveside services will be held on Friday, August 14, 2020 at the Alliance Cemetery with Sister Linda officiating.
