Christmas is a time when everyone taps into their inner Clark Griswold.
Oh sure, not everybody has the patience and time to staple 25,000 incandescent lights to their home. But we all love decorating for the holidays. And once again this year, Panhandle Post--with help from our sponsors--is looking to reward what our readers believe is the best Christmas light display in the panhandle.
Whether you light the lights indoors or out, now is the time to take a photo of your holiday decor and upload it to our contest page. Photos can be uploaded now through December 23rd, but now is the best time to upload; everyone who enters a photo in the contest will have their address listed on maps the Alliance Chamber of Commerce will distribute on Monday December 20th during their Holiday Light Scavenger Hunt. That evening, the Chamber will have free hot cocoa and popcorn. And from 5:00 to 7:00pm on the 20th KCOW will be playing Christmas music requests, so keep AM 1400/FM 92.5 in your car as you visit the decorated homes on the route.
On December 24th online voting will begin. At Midnight on New Year's Eve the voting will close, and the contestant who submitted the winning photo will have 50% of their December electric bill paid by Panhandle Post! Now that's something special whether there are 25,000 twinkle lights on your house or only a couple hundred.
