Ronald D. Clark, age 91, passed away peacefully on Friday, June 14, 2024 at Highland Park Care Center.
He was born January 26, 1933 in Box Butte County, Nebraska to Henry O. and Hazel E. (Ball) Clark.
He graduated from Hemingford High School in 1951. Following graduation, he worked in construction for a short time before proudly serving his country in the United States Army during the Korean War. He was honorably discharged and returned home and dedicated his life to farming on the family farm.
On August 21, 1958, he married Neoma F. Hoevet at the United Methodist Church in Crawford, Nebraska.
Ron’s commitment to the land and his hard work defined his career until his retirement in 2021. He was a member of the American Legion, VFW and the National Rifle Association.
He is survived by his wife, Neoma Clark of Alliance; his children, Kelly (Sandy) Clark of Alliance and Sherry (Craig) Mount of San Antonio, TX; his grandchildren, Shawna (Samuel) Gerwitz of San Antonio, TX, Briar Clark of Alliance, Blaze Clark of Torrington, WY, Seth Clark of Alliance, and Rhonda Clark of La Crosse, WI; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers Eldon and George Clark, and his sister, Lucille Egly.
Graveside services will be held Thursday, June 20, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. at the Nebraska Veterans Cemetery at Alliance. Reverend Greg Reed will officiate.
