SCOTTSBLUFF, Neb. - The American Red Cross is continuing its efforts to assist communities across affected by the recent wildfires. Trained Red Cross volunteers remain on the ground, working in close coordination with local emergency officials as response needs evolve.

Since the start of the wildfires, Red Cross teams have been present in impacted areas, providing essential services to residents. Dozens of experienced volunteers are currently engaged in the response, offering critical resources and expertise where they are needed most.

With fire containment improving, Red Cross teams have begun conducting residential damage assessments. These assessments play a key role in determining the support families may require as they begin the process of recovering and rebuilding.

Volunteers are also addressing health and mental health needs throughout affected communities, ensuring individuals and families have access to compassionate care during this stressful time.

The Red Cross continues to maintain close communication with emergency management partners across the region, monitoring developing conditions and preparing to scale up support if needed. Given the rapidly changing nature of wildfire activity, the organization remains ready to adapt its response to meet emerging needs.

Residents affected by the wildfires are encouraged to contact the Red Cross for assistance by calling 1‑800‑RED CROSS (1‑800‑733‑2767). The free Red Cross Emergency App also provides real‑time weather alerts, shelter locations and safety information.
