James E. “Jim” Hines, 71, died Saturday, April 17, 2021 at Regional West Medical Center in Scottsbluff.
He was born November 16, 1949 in Igloo, SD to Herbert D. and Hazel R. (Cullison) Hines.
Jim served in the United States Air Force for a short time before being honorably discharged for medical reasons. He was a member of the American Legion and the Indian Mission-Church of God.
He is survived by his brothers, Henry “Butch” (Linda) Abold of Alliance and Donald Hines of Buena Vista, CO; his sisters, Patricia Butcher of Martin, SD, Nancy (Robert) Harrold of Broken Bow, Sue Drum of Hampton, CT and Carol Bui of Gillette, WY; and many other extended family members. He was preceded in death by his parents, 1 brother and 2 nephews.
Memorial services will be held Thursday, April 22, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at the Indian Mission-Church of God. Reverend Don Mink will officiate. Inurnment will be in the Abold Family Cemetery near Rushville, Nebraska at a later date.
