McCOOK, Neb.-A McCook woman has died after her vehicle collided with a truck.

McCook police said at around 8:59 a.m. on Wednesday, officers responded to an injury accident in the 800 block of W. Q St.

Officers arrived and learned that a 2004 Chevy Impala, driven by Ketra Vlasin, 26, had collided with a 2006 Freightliner truck owned by the Nebraska Public Power District.

Police said the truck was stopped on the east side of the roadway and unoccupied at the time of the collision. Police said the NPPD truck had its emergency equipment activated as they performed maintenance on the electrical infrastructure.

Vlasin and an infant passenger in her vehicle were transported to McCook Community Hospital, where Vlasin later died from her injuries. The infant was treated for minor injuries and released to family members.

Police said the cause of the crash is still under investigation.
