Winter Weather Advisory issued for the Panhandle

Here are the current weather event impact highlights:

  1. Snow expected to develop near the Colorado State line by late morning and shift north into all of southeast Wyoming and Nebraska Panhandle this afternoon.
  2. Heavy mountain snow for the Snowy and Sierra Madre Ranges, as well as the I-80 Summit. Winter Storm Warnings are in effect.
  3. Winter Weather Advisories in effect for elsewhere that may need upgrading depending on how snow develops.
  4. Strong southeast wind gusts occur with the timing of heaviest snowfall, creating near whiteout conditions tonight into Tuesday morning.
