The City of Chadron has issued a snow emergency is being declared from 2:00 a.m. on December 27, 2023 until 12:00 p.m. on Thursday December 28, 2023. When a snow emergency is issued, all vehicles, boats, trailers and motorhomes must be moved off the designated emergency snow routes. In the event the weather conditions change, the emergency may be cancelled. Local radio stations will broadcast updates as necessary.
The emergency snow routes are:
Main Street from 1 st St. to 5 th St.
Chadron Ave. from 1 st St. to 3 rd St.
Morehead St. from 2 nd St. to 3 rd St.
2 nd St. from Bordeaux St. to Morehead St.
3 rd St. from King St. west to Mears St.
