There is a need for Foster Care parents in the Panhandle, and Melissa Misegadis is the Foster Care Director at Guardian Light Family Services and talks about that need.

"We're in dire need of foster homes in Alliance and the surrounding Panhandle areas," Misegadis said. "What's happening is that kids are being sent to Omaha and Lincoln, which makes reunification with their parents very difficult. We're in what is being called a foster care crisis at this point."
