James "Jimmy" Eugene Macken, 64, of Scottsbluff, Nebraska, was called to his eternal rest on March 8, 2024. A celebration of life will be held in Jimmy's honor, on Monday, March 18, at 9:00am, at Bridgman Funeral Home in Scottsbluff, Nebraska. In memory of Jimmy, the family kindly suggests that any donations be made to St. Agnes Catholic School Foundation, and Regional West Foundation.
Born on October 10, 1959, to the late James Lee Macken and Iris Killday Macken. Jimmy was a resident of Scottsbluff and a proud graduate of Scottsbluff High School, Class of 1977.During his high school years, Jimmy was known for his athletic prowess in track and field, displaying both sportsmanship and dedication. Upon graduation, he answered the call of duty and served his country in the United States Air Force, from which he was honorably discharged.
Jimmy is lovingly remembered by his siblings: brother Steve Macken of Colorado Springs, Colorado; sister Julie Marshall and her husband Dan of Scottsbluff, Nebraska; sister Anne Davey and her husband Phil of Hardeeville, South Carolina; and sister Laura West and her husband Jeff of Gettysburg, Pennsylvania. He was predeceased by his parents.
