By Panhandle Post The Gordon, Rushville and Hay Springs Fire Chief's are recommending "no fireworks" to keep their communities safe this Independence Day holiday.

Recently the Gordon Volunteer Fire Department help put out a grass fire that was "caused by fireworks" on Saturday, June 27.&nbsp;

The City of Gordon recently said, "Due to the dry conditions, the city has decided not to put on a fireworks display for the 250th 4th of July celebration."
