Wyoming Man Arrested After Motorcycle Pursuit in Dawes County

A Wyoming man was arrrested following a pursuit in Dawes County on Monday night. The Nebraska State patrol were informed that Fall River County Sheriff's Deputies were pursuing a vehicle traveling South towards Nebraska on Highway 385 at 8:40 p.m. MT.

Troopers responded to an area in Northern Dawes County where they spotted the Motorcycle riding at 98 miles per hour on highway 385 North of Chadron.

Troopers started to pursuit the vehicle after it failed to stop as it crossed 20 west of Chadron. Troopers were able to stop the rider when he reached a fence line and turn around, and as he was able to stop the motorcycle.

31 year-old Gerald Hobbs of Cheyenne was arrested after authorities found controlled substances, and a concealed weapon in his backpack.

Hobbs was booked into the Dawes County Jail for charges ranging from flight to avoid arrest and reckless driving.
