On April 1 at approximately 7:53 a.m. the Alliance Police Department and Alliance Volunteer Fire Department were dispatched to a two-vehicle accident at the intersection of 9th and Platte Avenue.

A 2010 Ford Focus driven by an Alliance woman failed to yield to the right-of-way at the unmarked intersection.
The Ford Focus struck the driver's side of a 2003 Chevrolet Malibu driven by an Alliance juvenile man.
"The driver of the Ford Focus was issued a traffic citation for failing to yield to the right-of-way and for a child restraint violation," Alliance Police Sgt. Cody Buskirk said. "The driver of the Malibu was transported to Box Butte General Hospital due to reported pain. No other injuries were reported."
No names of those involved in the accident were released.
