Weather permitting, a detour will be in effect on U. S. 30 from Ogallala to Roscoe beginning March 12, from reference post 127.54 to reference post 133.69, according to the Nebraska Department of Transportation.
Local area property owners and their guests are allowed within the work zone but must pay close attention to the workers and their equipment for the safety of all involved. Unauthorized vehicles in the construction zone will be subject to a fine. Interstate 80 is the detour route from Ogallala to Roscoe. The detour will be in effect March 12 and end mid-June.
Paulsen Inc. of Cozad, Nebraska is the contractor for this project. Work includes grading, milling, concrete overlay, asphalt surfacing, and seeding.
Motorists are reminded to drive cautiously in and near work zones, to buckle up, and to put phones down.
