LINCOLN, Neb. — More than 3,500 young runners representing over 90 area elementary schools will take part in the 24th annual Pumpkin Run on Sunday, Sept. 28, in the West Haymarket. This one-mile fun run, the largest youth-only event of its kind in the nation, will begin near Canopy and P Streets and finish in front of the Pinnacle Bank Arena main entrance.
Heats will begin at 10 a.m. and continue every 30 minutes through 12:30 p.m., organized by grade level to ensure a fun and safe experience for all participants.
Each registered runner will receive a 2025 Pumpkin Run medal and a souvenir cup at the finish line. After their run, participants and their families are invited inside Pinnacle Bank Arena for a vendor fair featuring giveaways and games from more than 20 local businesses and organizations.
