Memorial Services for Jerry Stumph of Crawford, Nebraska will be held Thursday, October 14, 2021 at 10:00 AM at the Crawford Community Building.
Jerry Stumph was born to John and Sheila Stumph on July 27, 1964 in Fort Belvoir, Virginia, on the Naval Base.
The family lived in several different places, including Hawaii while his dad was in the Navy. When Jerry was about 2 years old, the family moved to Crawford, Nebraska to set up roots.
Jerry attended Crawford Schools, he participated in several sports. He enjoyed Wrestling, Football which he excelled in. He also made some life time friends during his high school years. While going to school Jerry also helped his dad with the garbage business, throwing barrels before school, as well as helping with the farm.
In 1984 Jerry purchased Stumph Sanitation from his dad, John. Jerry continued to be the sanitation engineer until his diagnosis’s with cancer in 2020.
Jerry and Lori Palomares were married on September 14, 2014.
Jerry enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson, going to Sturgis and making memories with his family and friends. Jerry enjoyed life, and spending as much time as he could with his grandchildren.
Jerry is survived by his wife, Lori Palomares. Children: Brandon and Becca Smith, Mason and Mackenzie Stumph, and Megan Stumph. Grandchildren: Kevin Smith, Kinlee Stumph, Hunter Smith, Aleyna Smith, Aviia Julius, and Kavery Stumph. Sibling: Lori Stromberg and husband Marty Widener. Nieces and nephews: Erin Miller, Chris Miller, Spencer and April Miller, Fletcher and Merissa Stromberg.
Jerry is proceeded in death by his parents John and Sheila Stumph, sister Deb Miller, brother-in-law Tom Miller. And close friends Kirk and Traci McDowell.
A memorial has been established for the Crawford Volunteer Fire Department and donations may be sent in care of Chamberlain Chapel, PO BOX 970, CHADRON, NE 69337.
