In the early morning hours of May 15 the Alliance Police Department responded to a 911 call, which stated that a stabbing was currently in progress inside of a residence.

"The 911 caller also advised he/she was still inside the residence and was hiding from this person as he/she feared they would be 'next'," Alliance Police Sergeant David LaDuke said."

Officers responded and apprehended the suspect.

A stabbing victim was located inside the residence who was quickly transported to the Box Butte General Hospital.

"A preliminary investigation ensued during, which a search warrant was executed," LaDuke said. "The suspect was transported to the Box Butte County Jail and charges have been recommended."

The victim was transported out of Alliance by Air Link for the injuries sustained during this incident.

This case remains open and active pending further investigation.
