With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Linda Vasquez, a devoted mother, cherished grandmother, beloved sister, and dear friend, who left this world on June 25, 2025, in San Jose California at the age of 72. She was the beloved daughter of Donald and Glennys Jaqua.
Born on July 26, 1952, in Alliance, Nebraska, Linda brought joy and warmth to every chapter of her life. In 1973, she made California her home, where she raised her family.
A truly social spirit, Linda had a way of making everyone feel welcome and heard. She was quick to laugh, generous with her time, and always ready to lend a hand or share a story. Whether with family, friends, or even strangers, she brought warmth and compassion into every space she entered.
She was a dedicated mother to her two children, Richard and Raquel, and the proud grandmother of four beloved grandsons: Julian, Matthew, Jacob, and Malcolm. Her family was her greatest joy, and she poured her heart into every moment spent with them.
Linda’s life was a beautiful example of love in action—through faith, family, and friendship. Though she is no longer with us in body, her spirit lives on in the countless lives she touched and the deep bonds she nurtured.
She is survived by her sister Carol, brother James, children Richard and Raquel, and her four grandsons, Julian, Matthew, Jacob, and Malcolm, who will forever carry her memory in their hearts.
Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, July 7th 2025 at the First Presbyterian Church in Alliance Nebraska. Linda will be interred at the Alliance Cemetery. In her honor, the family invites you to carry forward her spirit by showing kindness and love to others.
