
A Memorial Service will be held for Gordon & Gladys Dughman Friday, August 8, 2025 at 11:00 am at Nebraska Veterans Cemetery in Alliance, Ne.
Gordon Dughman, 93 passed away Sunday, July 27, 2025 in Sterling, CO. He was born to Roland & Chloe Dughman in Seneca NE August 5, 1931. Gordon proudly served in the United States Marine Corp. He retired from Public Service Company of Colorado after 30 years of service. He also worked many years for colorado Saddlery and held the designation of being a Master Saddle Maker. All of his life, Gordon had a passion for leather work.
Gladys Dughman, 91 passed away Tuesday, March 25, 2025 in Sterling, CO. She was born to Warren & Velma Aspden in Alliance, NE July 6, 1933. Gladys was united in marriage to Gordon September 6, 1952. Together, they made homes in Nebraska and Colorado for 72 years. She graduated from Alliance High School, then received her Teaching Certificate from Chadron State College and taught country school in her early years. She was happiest in her home raising their 2 daughters and was always known to prepare wonderful meals.
They were preceded in death by their parents, Gordon's 3 brothers: Gene, John & Leonard Dughman and Gladys' 5 brothers: Bobby, Gene, Bing, Jack and Bill Aspden.
They are survived by their 2 daughters: Cheryl (Steve) Fillinger and Carol (Brian) Word, 5 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Also surviving are her brother Mike (Mary) Aspden, sister Joan (Jerry) Reeves, sister-in-law Pam (Bill) Aspden, Lois (Jack) Aspden and numerous nieces and nephews.
