Ty M. Stettner, age 18, of Sidney, NE passed away in Sidney on Wednesday, June 29, 2022.
Memorial services will be held at 10:30 A.M. Thursday, July 7, 2022, at the Evangelical Free Church in Sidney, NE with Pastor Kyle Larson officiating. Services will be recorded and available on our website for viewing. Services will conclude at the church.
Friends may stop at the Gehrig-Stitt Chapel on Wednesday from 1-6:00 P.M. to leave condolences for the family. Family will be present from 4-6:00 P.M. Ty was born on July 17, 2003, in Sidney, Nebraska to Rod and Peggy Stettner. He graduated from Sidney High School on May 14, 2022.
Ty was a very spontaneous kid and always did everything on Ty’s time. He loved to hang out with his friends and just have a fun time. He loved to just be around people having fun, whether it be playing video games or driving around town. Ty was a very generous and caring kid and always had a very big heart. He loved to do many things from hunting with his father and brother, hanging at the shop, and playing baseball. Ty’s greatest passion was for baseball and loved to be out playing on the field with his fellow teammates.
Ty touched many lives during his brief time here on earth, and his loving spirit will be remembered long after his passing. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him.
He is survived by his mother Peggy and fiancé Shae; his father Rod and fiancé Joni; his sister Tiffani Dye and husband Broc; his brother Ryan; his two nieces Braelynn & Rayah, grandparents Dallas & Betty Stettner, and other extended family members. He also has numerous aunts & uncles, cousins and many friends who loved Ty very much.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents Bernard & Darlene Hradecky, uncle Kevin Dorsett, and uncle Greg Schmidt.
