CHADRON, Neb. – 12 young ladies from across Nebraska will be competing in the 2026 Miss Chadron/Northwest Competition in Chadron on Saturday, Sept. 13th at 6 p.m. at the Chadron High School, Chadron, Nebraska. Titles awarded that evening will include Miss Chadron 2026, Miss Northwest 2026 and Miss Chadron’s Teen 2026. Along with scholarships, crowns and prizes, the winners will compete for the title of Miss Nebraska and Miss Nebraska’s Teen in North Platte in June of 2026.
The four contestants vying for the Teen title are: Emma Jensen, daughter of Todd and Heather Jensen of North Platte, Halle Knutson, daughter of Ryan and Sara Knutson of Scottsbluff, Katie Fowler, daughter of Jenifer Fowler of North Platte, and Anna Meier, daughter of Julie and Justin Focken and the late Richard Meier of Gering.
The eight Miss contestants vying for the Miss titles are: Dawn Runkle, daughter of Brian and Lindsey Runkle of Hemingford, Nevaeh Laeger, daughter of Tim and Milinda Laeger of Minatare, Allisen Meek, daughter of Jennifer and Brett Cullan and David Meek of Hemingford, Hannah Henton, daughter of Kris and Tom O’Brien and Jason Henton of Kimball, Arielle Lawrence, daughter of Julie and Jeff Lawrence of Marsland, Desteny Miller, daughter of Brandon and Cherry Wulf of Arapahoe, Kaylee Tostenson, daughter of Katie and Justin Tostenson of Pierre, SD, and Carlee Todd, daughter of James and Brittney Todd of Scottsbluff.
Co-Emcees of the evening will be Makinzie Gregory, Miss Nebraska 2025 and Gabriella Swift, Miss Nebraska's Teen 2025.
The audience will have an opportunity to vote for their favorite contestant by voting for the audience choice award! There will also be a silent auction that will take place during the competition.
The Miss and Teen competitions are under the Miss Nebraska and Nebraska’s Teen Competition, which is held under the Miss America Organization. It is designed to promote scholastic achievement, creative accomplishment, healthy living and community involvement for America's young women.
