ALLIANCE, Neb. – The City of Alliance is announcing that the Central Park playground will be temporarily closed beginning March 2 as preparations begin for the installation of a new playground structure.
This scheduled off-season closure will allow Park Staff and contractors to safely remove crash surfacing, which will be used at other playgrounds. In addition, existing equipment will be removed and the site prepared for installation this Spring. This preparation will allow for timely installation of the new play features designed to better serve local families and visitors. The new playground will offer updated equipment, improved accessibility, and an enhanced overall play experience.
As this project proceeds, residents and visitors are encouraged to enjoy other recreational areas within our community to enjoy this unseasonably warm condition. The City will announce reopening dates as soon as the timeline is finalized.
