Ronald Lee Jacobs passed away peacefully at his home with family by his side on November 29th, 2025 after battling a long fight with prostate cancer.

Ron was born in Alliance Ne on September 4th, 1950 to James Jacobs and Darlene Sellmer Jacobs. Ron was the oldest of 3 children and was raised on the family farm west of Alliance.

He attended District 9 and 44 and attended Alliance High School and graduated in 1968. After graduating Alliance High School he attended College in Denver and attended Parks School of Business in 1969 and graduating from there in 1972.

He met Louise Leona Lundahl (Shine Amsk) while they both were attending college in Denver. They married August 14th, 1970 and to this union 2 children were born their son Eric and their daughter Amber. Later divorcing, but still had a good friendship through the years.

He then moved back to Alliance and started work at Electric Hose and Rubber (known now as Parker) for many years. He then decided to move back to Denver where he started a new line of work and worked at Men’s Fashion Warehouse for a couple years until he decided Alliance is where he wants to be and moved back in the late 80s. As he got settled back in his home town of Alliance he started to work as the Accountant for the Mercantile. Then in 2000 he started as the accountant for 21st Century where he was working up until October of 2025 when he just couldn't anymore due to the cancer forcing him to retire early. He really enjoyed the company and all his co-workers.

Outside of work he really enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and daughter, a lot of the time he would be traveling to Hockey games with his grandson Alec and great Nephew Bodhi. These 3 had a bond that no one could break.

If you knew Ron he had a heart of gold and would give the shirt off his back for you. He also had a great sense of humor which we will all miss.

Ron is survived by his sisters, Becky Leisy and  Vicki (Larry)Grimes  of Alliance NE, his son, Eric Jacobs of Scottsdale AZ, his daughter,  Amber Jacobs (Erik Adams) Alliance. He is also survived by his granddaughters, Alexis Jacobs of Dallas TX, Haley Jacobs (Colby Brixius), Alliance, Brittany Jacobs (Ryan West) Alliance and Maria Garcia of Alliance, his grandson, Alec Garcia of Lincoln NE and great-grandsons, Grayson Jacobs, and Julian Garcia.  He was expecting his 3rd great grandchild in April 2026 Survivors also include 4 nephews, 3 nieces, 7 great-nephews, 4 great-nieces, 5 great-great nephews, and 1 great- great niece.

He is preceded in death by his parents, James and Darlene Jacobs, his son,  Jason Jacobs, his grandparents,  Fred and Minnie Sellmer and James Jacobs Sr. and also his aunt and uncle,  Pat and Bill Vogel.

Per Ron’s request he wanted no funeral, but his children Eric and Amber will have graveside services at a later date.
