Vaccine now available for Phase 1E at Fall River Health Services

Hot Springs, SD — FRHS continues to provide COVID-19 Vaccine to 1A & 1C Partners, and 1D Priority Group. The SD Department of Health is now providing vaccinations for Phase 1E Priority groups starting the week of March 22nd. The list now includes:

• Fire Service Personnel (new)

• Other Critical Infrastructure Workers, including water and wastewater, energy, finance, food service, food,

and agriculture, legal, manufacturing, shelter and housing, transportation and logistics, information

technology and communications. (new)

• Persons Aged 65 Years and Older

• High Risk Patients - dialysis, post-transplant, and active cancer

• High Risk Residents in Congregate Settings, Residents in Licensed Independent Living Facilities, and Residents

of Licensed Group Homes

• Teachers and other school/college staff, including college students who live in DORM rooms

• Funeral Service Workers

• Daycare Providers

• Persons with underlying medical conditions under the age of 65 with at least ONE of the following underlying

medical conditions:

• Asthma (moderate to severe)

• Cancer

• Cerebrovascular Disease

• Chronic Kidney Disease

• COPD (chronic obstructive pulmonary disease)

• Cystic Fibrosis

• Diabetes Mellitus (type 1 or type 2)

• Down Syndrome

• Heart Conditions (Heart failure, coronary artery disease, cardiomyopathy)

• Hypertension (High blood pressure)

• Immunocompromised State

• Liver Disease

• Neurologic Conditions (i.e. Dementia)

• Pregnancy

• Pulmonary Fibrosis

• Severe Obesity (BMI > 40)

• Sickle Cell Disease

• Thalassemia (blood disorder)

FRHS will continue to perform Covid-19 (Moderna) Vaccinations on Wednesdays from 8-6pm – by appointment only - at the Mueller Center in Hot Springs. Please remember to wear your mask and wear appropriate short sleeve clothing.

Social distancing practices will be in place. Do not come until your scheduled appointment.

FRHS has received a limited supply of Johnson & Johnson/Janssen vaccine. If you are eligible to receive the COVID-19 vaccine and are interested in receiving this one-dose vaccine, please call for an appointment at 605-745-8910 option #9.

This vaccine will be reserved on a first-call first-serve basis. The clinic will be held on April 8, 2021, from 4pm-6pm at the Mueller Center. An appointment is required.

If you are in Western SD and would like to register yourself on the COVID-19 Vaccine Waitlist, regardless of your priority group, we encourage you to go to www.frhssd.org/covid and click on COVID-19 Vaccine Registration. You will be contacted when it is your turn! If you think that you are on the eligibility list and have not received a call, please call to confirm your name is on the intent to vaccinate list.
