DAWES COUNTY, Neb. – The Board of Directors for the Western & Wildlife art Show is excited to announce it is looking for a few passionate, motivated individuals to join its all-volunteer team.
If you love art (even if you’re not an expert), enjoy working with others, and have a knack for completing tasks and meeting deadlines, the Board would love to hear from you. The Western & Wildlife Art Show is gearing up for its next chapter – the 53rd Annual Show, summer 2026 – and is looking for high-energy, team-oriented folks to help keep this tradition strong and thriving.
There are two types of Board roles available:
•At-Large Positions, where members focus on specific task areas related to planning and running the Show.
•Lead Positions, where members focus on managing broader categories such as: Sponsorships/Fundraising/Grant Writing, Advertising/Marketing/Social Media, Artist Liaison/Artist Care, Venue Management
The Board is seeking members of our community who are willing to ask questions, able to reach out for help when needed, and who will roll up their sleeves as part of a fun, collaborative team. The WWAS Board is made up entirely of volunteers – each serving because of a devotion to the Show, the artists, and the community at large.
Interested? Visit www.westernwildlifeartshow.org, click the MORE tab, then select Apply to the Board for an application. On it, you will be asked to share a bit about yourself. An informal interview will be scheduled to chat about the Board’s vision and where you might like to serve.
The Western & Wildlife Art Show has been a beloved celebration of art and community for over fifty years. The Show is held annually at the Historic Veterinary Hospital in Fort Robinson State Park, July 2 – 4. See the WWAS website and Facebook page for more information.
