Motor Vehicle Accident at 14th Ave and HWY 26

SCOTTSBLUFF, Neb. - On April 4, 2026, at approximately 11:40 a.m., Scottsbluff PD officers were dispatched the area of HWY 26 and 14th Ave for the report of a three vehicle MVA roll over. Officers arrived and observed a white Jeep SUV rolled onto its side in the south ditch. The driver of the Jeep was Justin Shaddick, 48-years-old of Scottsbluff. There was a white Honda CRV with front damage. The driver of the Honda was Jesus Rodriguez, 45-years-old of Minatare. There was front damage to a gold Chevrolet Tahoe. The driver of the Chevrolet was McKennzie Caldwell, 24-years-old of Torrington, WY.

Officers determined the white Honda CRV was stopped at the 14th Ave stop sign. The white Jeep was eastbound on HWY 26. The gold Chevrolet Tahoe was southbound on 14th Ave crossing HWY 26. The front of the gold Chevrolet Tahoe collided with the driver’s side of the white Jeep. The white Jeep was pushed into the front of the white Honda CRV. The white Jeep rolled into the south ditch. Caldwell was cited for failure to yield right of way after stop violation.

The driver and two passengers from the gold Chevrolet Tahoe were transported to RWMC via EMS.

All three vehicles were towed from the scene due to damages.

The Scottsbluff Police Department was assisted by the Scottsbluff Fire Department, Scotts Bluff County Sheriff’s Office and Regional West Ambulance Services.
