Our Road trip this week led us to Grandma Jo's. We originally started off to go somewhere else, to find them closed.
Well if traveling that far, I should have been smart enough to see what there hours and days open were before heading out. But their loss, is our gain.
We ended up in Sidney, Nebraska at Grandma Jo's.
My side kick had the chicken fried steak, saying it was wonderful. And I had the lunch special of fried chicken. In all the times I had gone to Sidney I can't believe I never saw this place. It's right on the corner 1144 Illinois St.
They are reminiscent of the typical American Cafe. The red tables and chairs reminds you of the 50's. The whole place is decorated perfectly. Makes you kind of feel like you're coming home. Our waitress was very efficient and friendly. Quite a few folks were having breakfasts and lunch. It was a cozy feeling, I even ran into a classmate of mine there!
So, if you get down that way, be sure and stop in and enjoy a great sit down meal. See you there!
