Chadron Open Art is excited to announce an array of engaging and educational fall classes starting this September. Whether you're interested in baking, art, or exploring the connection between science and art, there's something for everyone. All classes are held at our location at 223 Main Street and are designed to inspire creativity and learning.
Baking Classes
Learn simple baking recipes, how to read recipes, measure ingredients, and practice kitchen safety. This class is perfect for young aspiring bakers aged 8 and up. Classes are limited to 10 students to ensure personalized instruction.
Sessions are held on Mondays from 4:00 pm to 5:30 pm. The cost is $60 per month per student. Classes start Monday, September 9th.
Art Classes
Explore the basics of art and challenge yourself with new projects and mediums. Our art classes cover painting, ceramics, drawing, and more. These classes are suitable for ages 5 and up and are limited to 10 students.
Sessions are on Tuesdays from 4:00 pm to 5:00 pm. The cost is $50 per month per student. Classes start Tuesday, September 10th.
Science Art Connection
Discover the fascinating connections between art and science. This class involves exploring maps, studying the structure in natural objects, and learning lab/studio safety. Suitable for ages 5 and up, with a class size limited to 10 students.
Sessions are held on Fridays from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm. The cost is $50 per month per student. Classes start Friday, September 6th.
Flowering Plant Families Workshop Series
Would you like to learn more about the diversity of flowers and fruits in your yard, garden, and beyond? This five-part series will teach you how to identify several common flowering plant families, exploring the connections between plants, art, and global foodways. This course is aimed at adult learners and older youth, with no prior experience necessary.
Classes are held on Tuesday evenings from 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm, starting September 3, 2024. The cost is $50 for the five-week series. Class size is limited to 10 participants.
