Chadron Chamber: Pine Ridge Job Corps. update

HELP US COMMUNICATE OUR OPPOSITION

Last week’s announcement by the Department of Labor to pause Job Corps operations was a disappointing blow to our community, with potential impacts on Pine Ridge Job Corps. In response, we’ve rallied together, reaching out to our state Senators to voice strong opposition.

Yesterday, we received encouraging news: a federal judge issued a temporary restraining order preventing the Trump Administration from closing Job Corps centers. While this is a positive step, the fight isn't over. The order blocks any shutdown activities until further Congressional action—but it’s only temporary.

Now is the time to keep up the momentum. Taking just 3–5 minutes to contact our state representatives can make a real impact. Use the link below to send a message—feel free to copy and paste any part of this statement or the letter of support below to express your support.
