HEMINGFORD, Neb. - The Hemingford Community Foundation (HCF) is proud to announce the recipients of its recent round of mini and match grants, investing in projects that strengthen community vitality, support local businesses, and enhance quality of life in Hemingford.
This year’s awards include:
- $1,750 Match Grant to the Hemingford Trap Shooting Club to support this new youth program.
- $1,500 Match Grants to Raben’s Market, Hemingford Community Federal Credit Union, and Jordan’s Pack for community-focused projects that promote local economic growth.
- $1,000 Grant to the Hemingford Food Pantry to continue supporting food security efforts for local families.
- $500 Grant to Apollo Court for neighborhood beautification and community enhancement efforts.
- $500 Grant to Bobcat Cares for any identified student needs at Hemingford Public Schools.
“These grants reflect what Hemingford is all about, people coming together to make our community stronger,” said Joni Jespersen, Hemingford Community Foundation Board Member. “Each project represents local collaboration and commitment, and it’s inspiring to see the difference that even small grants can make in helping good ideas grow.”
In addition to the grant announcements, the Hemingford Community Foundation will host a Ribbon Cutting Celebration for the new community playground on Wednesday, Nov. 12 at 4 p.m. at the Hemingford Park. The public is invited to join as we celebrate this exciting new addition to the community!

The board, consisting of Jessica Davies, April Delsing, Joni Jespersen, Tonya Mayer and Tabi Prochazka, meets regularly to serve the residents of Hemingford and the surrounding area. Their mission is to identify and support the people, organizations and projects that make Hemingford a great place to live, learn, work and play. The Foundation is an affiliate fund of the Oregon Trail Community Foundation.
