Howard David Stephenson passed away on August 11, 2021 at Highland Park Care Center.
He was born in Portland, Oregon on June 2, 1935 to Grace R. (Haas) and Howard W. Stephenson.
Howard is survived by his wife Carol Beth. They were married 60 years. They had two sons, Eric David Stephenson and his wife, Tiffany who resides in Clatskanie, OR and Brian Scott Stephenson and his wife, Charlene of Alliance, NE. He is also survived by his sister, LeClercq Eaton of Dayton, WA and several nephews and nieces living in Washington State. Howard is also survived by two much loved grandsons, Tristan Clement Stephenson and his wife Mikaela of Grant, NE and Cade Nels Stephenson and fiancée Samantha Carrillo of Chadron, NE.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Wallace.
He served in the Army for two years during the Korean Conflict. Howard then worked as an accountant employed by Burroughs Corporation for 32 years in Spokane, WA, Portland, OR and Denver, CO. When living in Colorado, he spent many happy times camping and four-wheeling in the mountains. He was a devoted Denver Broncos fan and was known for his extensive collection of their games he had recorded on VHS tape. A common past time was to watch games again, especially the Super Bowls or clutch, last-minute come back wins. Howard was much loved husband, father and grandfather who will be sadly missed.
At his request, there was no funeral service. He is interred in the Alliance Cemetery in Alliance, Nebraska.
