ALLIANCE, Neb. – The Knight Museum & Sandhills Center invites the community to celebrate the season during its Annual Christmas Festival, running Saturday, Nov. 29 through Saturday, Dec. 6. This weeklong event has become a cherished holiday tradition, offering festive activities, workshops, music and family fun for all ages.
The festival kicks off on Saturday, Nov. 29 with the opening of the Christmas Silent Auction. The auction features over a hundred handmade and donated items - with bidding open throughout the week and closing at 4 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 6.
Each day of the festival offers something special:
• Sunday, Nov. 30 – Kids Day featuring holiday crafts, and writing letters to Santa.
• Monday, Dec. 1 – Paint and Cider Workshop presented by the Carnegie Arts Center. Registration Required!
• Tuesday, Dec. 2 – Doormat Painting Workshop where participants can create a festive holiday doormat. Registration Required!
• Wednesday, Dec. 3 – Quiet Day browse the museum’s Christmas displays, check on auction items, and shop the gift store for one-of-a-kind gifts.
• Thursday, Dec. 4 – Bow Workshop with Lois Pfeiffer, where attendees can learn to make beautiful holiday bows. Bring your own ribbon or use the materials provided.
• Friday, Dec. 5 – Christmas Trivia Night for teams of up to six, offering a night of laughter, competition, and holiday fun. Registration Required!
• Saturday, Dec. 6 – The festival concludes with a performance by St. John’s Brass, followed by the closing of the Silent Auction.
The Christmas Festival is held at the Knight Museum & Sandhills Center, located at 908 Yellowstone Ave Alliance, NE. Admission is free, and some workshops may require advance registration and fees.
