Sandra Yasuko “Sandy” Suetsugu of Alliance passed August 21, 2024 at Regional West Medical Center in Scottsbluff, Ne.
Sandy was born May 9, 1961 in Alliance, Ne to Harvey and Janet (Yamashita) Suetsugu.
Sandy graduated from Alliance High school in 1979, going on to attended Chadron State Collage for 2 years before attending nursing school at Box Butte General Hospital graduating as an LPN in 1982. After passing her boards she moved to Honolulu Hawaii where she resided until 2017 when she returned to Alliance to help her mother. Sandy was a member of the Eagles Auxiliary.
Sandy is survived by her brother, Bruce Suetsugu (Phyllis Sweet), her aunts Elenor Yamashita, and Betty Yamashita and numerous cousins.
Preceded in death by mother and father Harvey and Janet.
Sandy loved life and brought a smile to all she came in touch with, she loved her friends and crafting. Taiko drumming was one of her passions. She loved to watch sci-fi movies and listen to scary podcasts.
Sandy’s celebration of life will be at The Golden Hour Barbecue 110 West 4th Street, Alliance, NE on Saturday November 2nd, 2024, 12:30.
A memorial has been established in Sandy’s name to aid her friend Mariah Mae Bell in her journey for a new kidney. In leu of flowers please make a donation at Consumer’s Community Credit Union to the Sandy Su Memorial. Mariah and Sandy were very close and Sandy would be so happy to help Mariah with her journey and will be watching over her.
