Northwest Community Action Partnership (NCAP) is inviting community members, families, service clubs, youth groups, faith groups, sports teams, businesses and individuals to sign up for bell ringing shifts as part of the annual Salvation Army Red Kettle Campaign in Chadron. Bell ringing will take place at the Chadron Walmart beginning Nov. 24 through Dec. 24, 2025.

This long-standing holiday tradition provides critical support to individuals and families experiencing financial hardship throughout the entire year — not just at Christmas time. Funds raised stay local and help support emergency assistance, food insecurity relief, housing needs, utility assistance, disaster relief and other urgent needs within our communities.

“We look forward to this campaign every year,” said Northwest Community Action Partnership CEO, Brooke Smith. “Bell ringing is a powerful way to spread kindness and joy during the holidays — and it makes a direct impact right here at home.”

How to Sign Up

Signing up is quick and easy. Volunteers may choose one shift or multiple. Community members can register by visiting www.ncap.info, scrolling to the bottom of the homepage, and clicking on the Salvation Army penguin to view the schedule and select available times.

Make it a tradition — make it a memory — make it matter.

Bell ringing is a simple and meaningful act of service that families and organizations can do together. Each shift helps support local families who need it most.
