GRAND ISLAND, NEB. — Tuesday, the recruits of Nebraska State Patrol Camp 66 will take part in crash response scenarios featuring staged crashes, actors, and working paramedics and EMTs. Media are invited to attend and cover the training.
“These scenarios are designed to give our recruits a life-like experience of responding to a serious injury crash,” said Captain Greg Miller, NSP Director of Training. “Creating these high-stress situations during camp helps the recruits once they are out on the road across the state serving Nebraskans.”
The crash scenarios will include actors performing various types of injuries. Recruits will also be assisted on scene by EMTs and paramedics from multiple local fire departments.
Media wishing to cover this training should report to the south side of the Nebraska Law Enforcement Training Center at 9:00 a.m. Tuesday. For media unable to attend, NSP will collect video and photos to share following the training scenarios.
