SCOTTSBLUFF, Neb.-It's not uncommon to see Facebook posts from local police departments looking for the owners of lost dogs or cats. But posts for lost tortoises are much rarer.
Scottsbluff police took to Facebook to ask residents to check for their pet tortoise after the big boy was found strolling the streets of the town on Monday.
Fortunately, the owners were found and the tortoise, named Little Foot, was returned unharmed. But not before some photo ops and getting to know the men and women in blue.
No charges were filed against Little Foot.
