CHADRON, Neb. – Chadron State College’s annual Health Professions Showcase, a day designed to educate and inspire high school students aspiring to join the medical field, will take place March 25.
More than 50 students from six schools across Nebraska, South Dakota and Wyoming are scheduled to gather for the showcase.
Participants will begin the day with an information fair and welcome in the Student Center Ballroom.
Information stations and hands-on learning activities will begin at 9 a.m. This year’s showcase features five stations, representing a variety of health profession options including physician assistant, physical therapy, medical nutrition, nursing and radiology/sonography.
Later in the day, CSC will host tours of the Center of Innovative Learning, a general presentation and a student panel. During these activities, students can learn more about choosing a health professions career and the Rural Health Opportunities Program.
Dr. Ann Buchmann, CSC professor of biological sciences, is hopeful that the day will be exciting and informative.
“We are looking forward to providing a fun and educational opportunity for high school students interested in healthcare,” Buchmann said.
