The Scottsbluff Police Department issued a statement on Tuesday that they have received a grant from the Nebraska Department of Transportation Highway Safety Office to participate in the " U Drive. U Text. U pay." Enforcement campaign.
"The goal of this grant is to reduce fatal and serious distracted driving related injury crashes in Nebraska," Operations Captain with SPD Lance Kite said.
SPD said in a press release that Scottsbluff Police Officers will be working overtime this week from Monday April 1st through Monday April 8th, 2024.
