The Chadron Police Department is continuing the investigation into the death of a 19 year old Chadron man. Chadron Rescue and Chadron Police were dispatched Monday evening, to a call regarding Zachary Lemke, who was found unresponsive by family members in their Chadron home.
Efforts to resuscitate Mr. Lemke were unsuccessful and he was determined to be deceased at the scene. The Dawes County Attorney/Coroner was dispatched to the scene for further investigation into the unattended death.
After a reveiw of the scene, evidence gathered there and a review of witness interviews, The Coroner ordered an autopsy to assist in determining the specific cause of death.
Although foul play is not suspected at this time, the investigation into Mr. Lemke's death continues. Anyone who may have information regarding this investigation is encouraged to contact the Chadron Police Department at (308)-432-0510
