Dennis R. Clark (1950 - 2025)

Dennis R. Clark, 74, died Monday, March 31, 2025 at Regional West Medical Center in Scottsbluff, Nebraska.

He was born June 13, 1950 in Trenton, Missouri to Hubert E. and Edna May (Gay) Clark.

He graduated from United Township High School in East Moline, Illinois with the class of 1968.  Following graduation, he went on to work for the Rock Island Railroad in Silvis, Illinois before enlisting in the United States Air Force.  Dennis proudly served his country and was honorably discharged in September of 1973.  He was honored with the Quilt of Valor in recognition of his service in March of 2020.

Following his military service, Dennis went back to work for the Rock Island Railroad in Silvis, Illinois until its closing in 1980.  He then moved to Alliance and began working for the Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railway, retiring in 2010.  He had over 40 years of railroad service.  On June 14, 1988, Dennis married Janet I. Price in Lake Tahoe, Nevada.

In his free time, Dennis enjoyed tinkering in the garage, watching the Chicago Bears and Cubs, and golfing.  He was a proud member of the American Legion, the Eagles Club, and the NRA.  He was also a member of the International Association of Machinists (IAM).

Dennis is survived by his wife, Janet (Price) Clark of Alliance; his daughter, Amanda “Mandy” (Derek) Dagostino of Moline, IL; his grandson, Augie Dagostino of Moline, IL; his brothers, Michael (Therese) Clark of Mesa, AZ, Dave (Susan) Clark of East Helena, MT, and Jim (Terry) Clark of Surprise, AZ; and his sister, Karen Ledezma of East Moline, IL.  He was preceded in death by his parents.

Graveside services with military honors will be held Tuesday, April 15, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. at the Nebraska Veterans Cemetery at Alliance.

Memorials may be given to the Veterans State Cemetery at Alliance Foundation, P.O. Box 403, Sidney, Nebraska, 69162; or the Panhandle Blocks Quilt of Valor Foundation; to which donations may be sent in care of the family.
