In Dawes County District 2 Commissioner Vic Rivera is fighting a recall petition against him to step down.&nbsp; The petition was brought on by Taylor Wohler's of rural Crawford for various forms of mismanagement of duties. &nbsp;

Dawes County Clerk Clerk  Cheryl Feist prepared the petitions for signatures for both in defense of Rivera and the accusations against him. 207 votes in 30 days in District 2 are needed for Rivera to be removed from office, and if they are collected there is a timeline of 15 days for the recall to be verified.&nbsp;

&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;If enough signatures are present a recall election will be set by the County Commissioner's for no later than 21 days after,&nbsp; the county will also be responsible for the costs of the election.&nbsp;
