Alliance businesses experience wind damage

Many Alliance businesses experienced wind damage on Jan. 13 and the early morning on Jan. 14. 

Wind in excess of 78 MPH ripped through the City of Alliance and the Panhandle. 78 MPH winds set an Alliance record, according to the National Weather Service in Cheyenne, WY.

4 miles east of Scottsbluff reported wind gusts up to 86 MPH. 2 miles west of Gering reported 77 MPH gusts.

High Wind Warnings continue throughout Panhandle for Thursday through Friday at 11 a.m.
