ServSafe® Food Managers training offered in Chadron

Nebraska Extension is offering a ServSafe Food Managers Training on Tuesday, October 7, from 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Chadron State College Student Union in the Ponderosa Room.

This nationally recognized certification program is ideal for food service managers, supervisors and those in charge. The one-day course covers essential food safety topics, including:

  1. Prevention of foodborne illnesses
  2. Forms of contamination
  3. Safe food handling practices
  4. Flow of food from purchasing to service
  5. Food safety management systems
  6. Cleaning and sanitation procedures

The training includes the course manual, eight hours of instruction and a proctored certification exam.

Cost is $160 per participant. Make checks payable to the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, and payment may be mailed to: Morrill County Extension, P.O. Box 490, Bridgeport, NE 69336.
