ALLIANCE, Neb. – Changes to the Landfill are beginning, with a Winter Schedule Change, Holiday Schedule Adjustment, and a Permanent Policy Update.
1. Winter Schedule Change (Effective December 1)
-We will be closed on Saturdays.
-Blue container pickup will be suspended for the winter.
-The last blue container pickup dates are: Dumpsters: November 25; Rollouts: November 26
2. Holiday Schedule Adjustment
-We will be closed on December 24 for Christmas Eve.
-Rollout pickups for that week will be moved to Friday, December 26.
3. Permanent Policy Update
-We will no longer accept agricultural waste in loads greater than 3 tons.
-This includes items such as bean husks, feed corn, and corn husks.
-The change is due to overwhelming our compost pile and creating fire hazards by disrupting the proper ratio.
