Tami was born June 18, 1961, in Scottsbluff, Nebraska to Leo and Helen (Bauer) Keller. She received her early education at Haig School and completed her education at Gering High School, graduating with the class of 1979. She was united in marriage to Randy A. Meter on March 24, 1984. As a dedicated wife, Tami exemplified the true meaning of partnership. She stood by her husband's side through thick and thin, a source of unwavering support and boundless love. Together, they forged a bond that served as a testament to the power of love and commitment. To this union, she was blessed with her daughter, Jennifer. Her role as a mother was one she embraced wholeheartedly. Tami was diagnosed with stage 4 ovarian cancer right after her daughter was born. Tami and Randy made their home in Bayard, Nebraska, where they raised their daughter. They moved to Gering in 2005.

Following high school, Tami held several different positions including a Paraeducator for Bayard Public Schools, a home loan servicer, and most recently found her passion working with the Veterans of Scotts Bluff County and surrounding areas at the Veterans Service office in Gering, Nebraska. You could often find Tami crocheting, bowling, crafting with her friends, or golfing with her daughter Jen. Tami and her friends also enjoyed several trips to Wendover, Nevada to gamble. Every weekend you could count on her snuggling her grandbabies. Mimi was a title she wore proudly for the past four years. She was a lifelong member of Salem Congregational Church, where she served as a Trustee for many years. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
