Chadron Police Department Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over Event Results

CHADRON, Neb. - The Chadron Police Department recently participated in the annual Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over Campaign event this fall, between Dec. 12, 2025 and Jan. 1, 2026.

At the end of 2025, between Dec. 12 and Jan. 1, the Chadron Police Department, through grant money provided by the NDOT, increased the number of officers patrolling in the Chadron area. Those officers were able to focus on searching for drunk and impaired drivers. The event was a success in that there were 76 total contacts made with the following outcome:

One arrest for DWI, seven warnings for failing to come to a complete stop at traffic stop sign, four warnings for driving left of center, one citation for failure to use turn signal, one warning for failure to yield right of way, one citation for failure to yield right of way, two warnings for failure to signal, one citation for impeding traffic, one citation for improper/defective vehicle lighting, two warnings for improper/defective vehicle lighting, three warnings for no brake lights/turn signals, 19 warnings for no headlight/taillight, two warnings for no valid registration, 28 warnings for speeding, and two citations for speeding.
