The Dawes County Historical Society will hold it's annual Garden Party fundraiser today from 2 p.m. - 4:30 p.m. at the County Museum south of Chadron on Country Club Road.

The event highlights some of the Museum’s “Hidden Treasures,” with the primary fundraiser being an auction of hats from the Museum collection. 

Local auctioneer Bruce Schoepner will handle the bidding call.

Master of Ceremonies Dave Carlson will give a talk on the historic buildings now located on the museum grounds. 

Guests will be entertained by music from Jack Issacs, and there were refreshments. All guests will receive complimentary copy of a book full of facts about early Chadron.

Visitors are also invited to come out before the Garden Party or to remain after to visit the various buildings and exhibits at the Dawes County Historical Museum.
